I read your blogpost on bp magazine and immediately bought the kindle version of this book. My adult son was diagnosed BP2 in the past five years and it’s been a roller coaster ride for me as his mom! Your book helped me to understand him better and also gave me a second wind. I look forward to learning more from you. God bless you! He really is Who holds us together!  J. Dalton

Susan is brave and bold. She has written of her struggles and challenges with living as a person diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She tells the reader of her dreams and is determined to make these dreams come true. She takes the reader step by step through her life with all the ups and downs. Susan is honest and you get to know her in a very personal way. As I read the book I thought about her family and especially her mother and how they gave their support to help their child reach her goals. We don't talk openly about mental illness like we do about other medical issues. I am proud of Susan for being so brave and telling her story. It helps people and their families, like mine, to start to take away the taboo of talking about living with bipolar disorder. Thank you Susan Johnson. LLee

In the tradition of St. Augustine's Confessions, Susie Johnson lays bare her journey to an adult spirituality. While her Catholic faith is present throughout her life, it coexisted with her bipolar. The book's main focus is her young adult life as the struggle to achieve her dreams of being a teacher, wife and independent person tumble through the excessive of learning to live with bipolar.

The telling is honest and brings the reader into the realities of life with uncheck episodes of mania and depression. The book is worth picking up if you are starting the journey alongside a young adult with emerging signs of bipolar. Gerard Gonzales
